Poke(r) Game

Little Austin, I gotta tell ya kid, is one cute cute CUTE baby. Monday we had our 29 week 4d ultrasound. Although his hands and feet were basically in his face the whole time, we were able to get a few cute face shots. I am in love. He has the sweetest little lips and chubby cheeks and looks like his Daddy. Just seeing our son resemble his daddy so much brings tears to my eyes and makes my heart swell. I fall in love with Eric every day but man, something about this ultrasound just took things to a whole new level.

They measured him a week ahead (though they're not changing his due date). He weighs 3.3lbs as of right now. We saw his first characteristic trait from his momma....stubbornness. Doty, the technician, kept shaking, poking, talking, etc. to get him to change his position up. He wasn't budging. No way, no how. At one point I tried our little "poke game" we play and you could see on the screen where I poked!! LOL that was pretty weird. He was a lazy boy, he did not want to move and he got the sweetest little frown on his face when we were messing with him. She is going to do another u/s for us on the 29th, so we can have more pictures. He'll be 32 weeks there and now I'm super excited to see how he has grown in that time. YAY!! Our little boy will be here in about 11 weeks, how exciting!! BTW, I'm going to leave this post on an odd note- it's a little disturbing how obsessed our tech is with his little pee pee lol. The whole time she kept talking about it, and showing it on the screen and I think we probably have about 20 pictures ytd of it. (Maybe she wanted daddy to be extra proud ;) ) Mommy was a little proud and relieved that I only gained 1lb since last month, WHEW! the weight finally is slowing down.

In photo #4 you can see where little Austin was frowning at Doty, the u/s tech for poking him
In photos #5 & 6 are his little hands and feeties up by his face, where they stayed the WHOLE u/s

  1. Hi Stephanie, Eric and Baby Austin! Aunt Lindy here. I have had the best time reading your blog and following along with you all. Thank you so much for doing this for us who don't see you as often as we should. Love you all and hope things continue to go well.

  2. Thanks aunt Lindy, this blog is a lot of fun to read. Sometimes I go back and read a couple from the beginning and it makes me smile. It will be really cool to share this with Austin when he's older. Maybe after the baby shower you can come by and see his room. Love you, and keep reading. We love to see the comments
